The Region:
Prairie North Health Region (PNHR) covers a large and geographically diverse area in the northwest part of central Saskatchewan. Economically, PNHR is a vibrant and growing region with key industries such as agriculture, oil and gas, forestry, tourism and recreation. The region has over 96,000 residents including clients living in Lloydminster, AB. Region area is nearly 30,000 km2 and includes 3 cities, 6 towns, 19 villages, 5 resort villages and 14 First Nations communities.

Over 3,162 (2,367 FTEs) employees and over 100 physicians (general practitioners & specialists) provide services in 2 regional hospitals, 1 district hospital, 2 community hospitals with attached special care homes, 1 provincial psychiatric rehabilitation hospital, 2 health centres, 5 health centres with attached special care homes, 6 special care homes and 7 primary health care central sites with 6 satellite sites.

The Position:
We are looking for a Family Physician to provide locum clinical outpatient, long-term care and emergency services.  Based in North Battleford, the candidate will travel to various sites throughout Prairie North Health Region providing services where required.  Travel expenses (mileage) and accommodations are at the cost of the Region.  

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and have current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required for travel to satellite clinics.

Compensation:
This contracted position is compensated through alternate payment.  CMPA fees are reimbursed by the Saskatchewan Medical Association in accordance with their guidelines.  As an independent contractor you will also have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of incorporation.
