Description

Prairie Valley School Division invites applications for a 1.0 FTE Language Consultant.  This is a one-year term commencing as soon as possible and ending June 29, 2015 with the possibility of an extension. This assignment will be based out of the Education Centre, in the RM of Sherwood.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and support in the French Immersion and Core French curricula;
Provide leadership and support in English as an Additional Language (EAL) instruction by modelling, mentoring, coaching, and consulting; and
Provide leadership in the expansion of other language programs (e.g., Cree, Saulteaux, etc.).

Qualifications:
Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate;
Master classroom teacher (minimum of five years teaching experience preferred);
Masters Degree or graduate studies courses would be an asset;
TESL Certification would be an asset.

Travel is required, system fleet vehicles are available or mileage is paid for use of a personal vehicle. The Division supports the principles of a representative workforce and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
