Responsible For:
Handling customer inquiries, marketing credit products and services in a professional and courteous manner
Operates the computer and balances receipts on a daily basis
Completes deposit slips and makes bank deposits
Receives orders from operations staff and customers via telephone, completes order form and forwards it to operations staff for shipment
Monitors accounts receivable through the use of current and aged computer prints
Maintains office files covering transactions made at the facility, also maintains records of staff
Maintains a file of accounts payable and prepares same for payment
Types letters, memos and reports
Compiles and provides information on items such as stocks, product sales, prices, shipments and accounts outstanding
Prepares weekly stock reports
Performs inventory spot checks and assists in farm and/or grain supply cut-offs
Receives shipments of supplies, checks shipments for damaged articles, quality and quantity of merchandise received, and places goods in designated storage areas
Draws supplies from stock to fill mail orders and staff requisitions; packages and mails the shipment as required
Qualifications:
One (1) year of work experience in office clerical work
Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
Must be willing to enroll and work towards the completion of the Agri-Business Certificate Program, or academic equivalent
Computer competent, with demonstrated ability in the use of word processing, database and spreadsheet software
Demonstrated customer service orientation
Proven knowledge of grain and/or farm supply products/services and company credit policies
