Primary Function:

Supervise the plant facility to ensure the production of engineered products is performed in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
Recommend and improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.

Responsibilities:
Accountable for direct operating costs of production facility.
Accountable for direct project costs keeping within budget.
Responsible for the scheduling and productivity of shop employees.
Supervise the completion of projects in respect with customer requirements.
Supervise and direct all employees for the plant operation.
Address and resolve internal/external inquiries.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the group to ensure a smooth workflow.
Ensure safety standards are respected at all times and drive HSE Program.
Oversee and be responsible for the Quality Management system and ensure it is followed at all times.
Substitute for and/or assist department staff.
On-call/afterhours when required.

Qualifications:

College Degree in electro-mechanical or equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years experience in a Quality/Safety production environment
Experience with mechanical service and AC/DC motors, strong asset
Good knowledge of ISO 9001 Standards and Provincial Safety regulations
Ability to supervise a group a technicians
Leadership and initiative
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
