Description

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services (LLRIBHS) Department is now inviting applications for a Permanent Full Time, Prevention and Recovery (P & R) Coordinator, to provide overall supervision and direction to the P & R Program for the LLRIBHS. This position will be based in La Ronge, but will be required to travel to provide services to LLRIB outlying communities.  

Duties:
- Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and supporting the Prevention & Recovery Team;
- Recognize cultural and other factors when developing and implementing appropriate addictions and mental health support services;
- Actively involved in development of a 5 year community health plan, strategic plan and evaluation;
- Develop proposals, reports, budgets and track statistical information;
- Focuses on adapting services to meet the changing health needs of band members;
- Ability to work under pressure; Effective conflict resolution and problem solving skills;                                                                      

Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Work; Masters in Social Work an asset;
- Previous supervisory experience, including budget analysis and control;
- Possess sound knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of addictions and mental health;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Must have a Class 5 Drivers license;
- Security Clearance: Current Criminal Record Clearance/Child Abuse Record Check and Driver's Abstract required upon hire;
