Express Service Attendant
Part-time, Permanent, In-scope
Saskatoon, SK
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Customer Services, this position is responsible for assembling and sorting express waybills, contacting customers regarding express shipments received, and following up on customers' inquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and document customers' requests for tracers and proof of delivery
- Provide quotations for bus parcel express rates and schedules
- Assemble and sort express waybills
- Contact customers regarding express shipments received
- Promote STC pick-up and delivery service
- Follow up on customers' inquiries and complaints
- Provide package status reports to special account customers (i.e. FedEx, RPS, UPS, etc.)
- Assist in conducting weekly inventory checks
- Compile and maintain a current charge account customer list
- Balance cash-out reports and prepare cash deposits as required
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Intermediate sorting (alphabetically and numerically) and data entry skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to count and balance cash to summary reports
- Ability to accurately read and follow written instructions related to job routines
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work within defined time constraints
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers
- Ability to work shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
