Description

The Moose Jaw Drug Treatment Court team is currently seeking a Contracted Day Programmer.  Hours of work are 9am-12pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee, organize and monitor the day programming events for participants of the Moose Jaw Drug Treatment Court Program.
- Work with community organizations to set up day programming opportunities which may include: breakfast and lunch, social skills training, problem solving skills, coping skills training, structured relapse prevention, employment skills training, food/nutrition education, community service, recreation, etc.
- Maintain a schedule of day programming events and accompany participants to events.
- Monitor and document attendance and punctuality of participants at all day programming events and report to the DTC team on a weekly basis.
- Supervise the participants to ensure they are following all rules as set out in the Drug Treatment Court Handbook.
- In conjunction with the DTC team and direct supervisor, compile Final Reports as required for grants received.
- Continue to solicit community support and involvement in day programming options and work to enhance day programming options.
- Document and report client progress and concerns
- Develop and facilitate life skills and addictions curriculum
- Maintain print documents (brochures, posters, media releases, etc) and file reports

Qualifications:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Proven leadership qualities
- Enthusiastic, energetic and have an outgoing personality
- Experience in working with those with addictions
- Group facilitation skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- At least 2 years post-secondary education in a Human Service Field
- At least 2 years successful experience in a related field
