Description

The Saskatoon CarShare Co-operative (SCC) is a co-operative that
provides car-sharing services in Saskatoon. SCC requires a dynamic
and progressive individual to fill this exciting position. We are
seeking someone with a passion for sustainability, co-operatives
and community engagement. This position will focus on two main
initiatives: raising awareness of SCC in the community and
recruiting members. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the
following responsibilities while also developing an effective
marketing plan and taking the necessary steps to launch that plan
into motion.

Responsibilities:
- Provide orientations and facilitate paperwork processes for new
members
- Maintain SCC software, internal folders and files, and
databases(database of stakeholders and members, Google drive
repository of documents)
- Organize meetings, table events, and organize other ways to
provide information to the community about the SCC and its
initiatives
- Co-ordinate media relations programs for the SCC (website,
Facebook, Twitter); manage media lists, write press releases (and
other necessary documents); coordinate media requests and
publication of promotional materials  
-Network with community groups/businesses to establish new
partnerships
- Oversee the position of Maintenance Staff
- Ensure the SCC telephone is monitored

Qualifications:
-Excellent relationship-building, communication and negotiation
skills
-Experience in volunteer recruitment and supervision
-Knowledge of budgeting, economics and finance
-Computer skills and ability to work fluently in Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel), Internet and Email
-Time and project management skills; able to work independently
and under changing circumstances within deadlines
-A desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and see fewer
vehicles on our roads!

Requirements:
-Valid Class 5 license
