Northlands College is a leading employer in northern Saskatchewan for both instructional and non-instructional jobs and careers. The instructor will facilitate the learning of theory and practical instruction related to the building program. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: planning, developing and delivering the program, maintain carpentry tools, evaluating students? performance, providing guidance, conducting workshops, demonstrations and liaise with community organizations.
Additional duties include: classroom management, taking attendance and submitting it to the Program Assistant on a regular basis, monitoring student progress and submitting reports to the Program Coordinator on a regular basis and other duties as assigned. The applicant must be able to teach trades math at a grade 10 level, bend and stoop to ground level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves (8-20 feet) with the use of a stool or ladder, also lift and move packages up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
The minimal qualifications for this position are: Grade 12, an Interprovincial Red Seal ticket, two (2) years of recent/relevant experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills and a valid Saskatchewan driver's license.
