Description

Carry out routine lab protocols including DNA and RNA extractions, library preparation, genotyping using existing markers (SNP and SCAR), care & maintenance of plants in the phytotron & greenhouse, plant tissue collection, basic data analyses and routine reporting of results to lab manager and PI.  Trouble-shoot problems with protocols in conjunction with the lab manager, keep detailed notes on procedures used and results obtained, and communicate effectively with all lab members and external collaborators to keep projects on time.
