Seed Hawk is an international manufacturer of state-of-the-art zero-tillage seeding systems, sold in Canada, the U.S., Australia, and Eastern Europe.  Seed Hawk has over 200 employees who work to develop and produce a drill that seeds, bands and packs in one pass. Seed Hawk strives to develop the most accurate seed and fertilizer placement systems to help farmers seed more efficiently and profitably.

The Strategic Purchaser is responsible for high-level purchasing initiatives within the Supply Chain.  The successful candidate will work in conjunction with operational purchasers to improve overall supplier performance and reduce material costs.   A key attribute which applicants must possess is strong communication skills, both as a member of the Seed Hawk team, and when dealing with our customers and vendors. After training, the majority of work hours will be devoted to technical/economic discussions, problem solving together with our buyers, engineers, and suppliers.

Who are you?
-     Must possess a specialized degree in Business or Engineering
-     Diploma or Vocational training certification is an asset
-     A combination of experience and education will be considered
-     Minimum of 4 years of direct work experience as a purchaser
-     Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
-     General knowledge of agricultural equipment and the manufacturing methodologies used is an asset
