Description

Associated Engineering provides a broad base of consulting engineering services in the infrastructure, water, transportation, environmental, building, energy, and asset management sectors.

We are currently searching for a Senior Transportation Engineer for our Regina Transportation Division.

Reporting to the Division Manager, the successful candidate will be involved in the design and technical delivery of transportation projects including working with planners, engineers, and technologists on a variety of projects. Duties will include: project management; functional, preliminary, and detailed design; cost estimating; tender preparation; contract administration; client liaising; and quality control and quality assurance. Employee mentoring and supervision of staff related to transportation engineering is required for this senior position. Ideally, the candidate will have the desire and ability to advance to a management position.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution;
- Professional (or eligible), licensed with APEGS;
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience;
- Strong background in transportation engineering design on urban and rural roads and bridges/interchanges, including route studies, functional planning, detailed design, and contract administration;
- Advanced experience with roadway and hydraulic design is desired;
- Experience in traffic operations, safety, and impact assessments;
- Proven project management skills;
- Ability to develop and retain trusted business relationships, clients, and opportunities;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and roadway design software; and
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
