Duties include but not limited to:
- solicit and sell with a thorough understanding of sales processes
- grow and develop market segments, generating leads and follow up on accounts while maintaining existing relationships
- participate in property and corporate events as assigned
- ability to deliver formal presentations on behalf of the hotel
- work with the General Manager, Front Desk Manager and Sales Team to develop, recommend and implement room rate policies and special packages in order to maximize revenue and occupancy
- monitor competitors rates, facilities and promotions
- ensure professional and timely distribution and follow up on correspondence, contracts to maximize lapsed, repeat or potential business
- identify and analyze marketing and sales needs and help develop effective short and long term strategies to meet the changing needs of the hotel and surrounding business environment
- analyze market research data to identify trends and opportunities to increase revenues and market share
- review and implement pricing strategies for group and transient segments
- build relationships with key accounts and actively target new business
- maintain an active role in the community, civic and industry organizations
Qualifications:
- able to work independently, proven organizational skills
- able to network and build relationships, effective decision making skills
- solid computer literacy and internet savvy
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with an excellent ability in presentation skills
- must be results and performance oriented
- must enjoy outside sales
- previous Hotel sales experience an asset
