Sunrise Health Region has an opening for a
Permanent Full Time Dental Health Educator Senior
at Sunrise Public Health, Yorkton, SK

Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Director of Public Health, the Dental Health Educator, as part of the Public Health team, is responsible for assessing the oral health needs of the community, supervision of the dental health program including supervision of any staff involved in the promotion of dental health.  The Dental Health Educator also delivers oral health programs primarily targeted at children.  Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Public Health and the Medical Health Officer, this position is responsible for coordinating, planning, implementing and evaluation population based oral health programs which are directed towards health promotion and disease prevention.  This position is also responsible for preparation and monitoring of a program budget including monthly variance reporting.  This is a field hours position and maybe required to work in the evening or on weekends on occasion.

Qualifications/Experience:
    Dental Therapy Diploma
    Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Dental Therapists Association
    Valid Drivers License or the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially
    At least two (2) years related experience including experience in health promotion, health education and community development

Hours of Work:
    Days & Field Hours

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms & conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

Salary and benefits in accordance with the SAHO/Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan Collective Agreement governing the position and corresponding to education and previous experience.
