Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Construction Carpenter is primarily responsible for the construction of residential housing including large scale apartment complexes and town homes.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

   Lay building foundations
   Prepare for framing for Cement
   Create cement forms/mix and pour cement (including stairs)
   Frame for building including doors and windows
   Put in siding, flooring, roofing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

   Must have own hand tools
   Must be able to read and understand construction plans
   Good communication skills and ability to work alone and as part of a team
   Must work well under pressure
   Must have proven ability to complete projects on or before deadline
   Ability to ensure quality and safety of all work performed
   First Aid certification is definitely an asset
   Good physical health
   Preference will be given to those who are willing to travel

Credentials and Experience:

   Grade 12 or equivalent
   Minimum 5 years experience or combination of education and experience
