Description

DUITES:
Reporting to a Financial Controller, the Accounting Clerk is responsible to carry out job functions which may include processing new utility applications, data input, assisting with collections of accounts receivable and utility accounts, assisting in the handling and posting of cash and providing coverage for others during vacations and other absences. The Accounting Clerk effectively deals with the public and internal staff both verbally and in writing and may be assigned alternate duties on occasion.

QUALIFICATIONS:
As a minimum, must possess an accounting diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution. Must be familiar with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and previous experience with accounting software is an asset. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.  Must be capable of working independently, neatly, accurately and able to meet deadlines.
