Description

Autism Services of Saskatoon is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Speech and Language Pathologist.  The successful candidate will work closely with and form an integral part of the Autism Intervention Program

The ideal candidate will have:
- Masters Degree in Speech/Language Pathology;
- The credentials to be a member of and licensed with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA)
- Demonstrated understanding of Autism spectrum disorders
- Knowledge of best practices in serving children/youth with ASD
- The skills to work closely with behaviour consultants and provide supervision for support workers
- The skills to consult with families and other team members
- The skills to complete speech/language assessments, write reports and consult regarding interventions, and provide appropriate treatment
- The ability to work in a self-directed and independent manner
- The skills to provide group interventions
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written); decision making skills; professional judgement skills; and organizational/time-management skills
- A valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

In addition, training in PECS; ABA, and/or Alternative and Augmentative communication would be considered an asset.
