Description

The Senior Business Systems Analyst provides Business and Technical and hands-on technical expertise with enterprise application technologies such as Oracle Discoverer, XML and PL/SQL.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be required to:
Provide consulting services for the maintenance, enhancement, troubleshooting, and operation of enterprise applications.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather, compile and document business requirements for data standards, data flow, workflow, business process changes, system changes and project deliverables associated with the enterprise applications.
Design and manage process/system changes and implementations at the Ministry, and ensure these changes will save the Ministry significant ongoing costs and provide major improvements to program service delivery and data management.
Create PLSQL queries to retrieve raw data not available in the Oracle Discoverer environment.
Create XML specifications for enterprise applications based on business requirements gathering for changes and net new design requirements.
Work with application developers to implement data model, data warehouse, and XML schema changes.
Support Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts in the testing, training and implementing of changes to the XML schema for enterprise applications.
Provide Discoverer data extraction support for enterprise applications including analysis of data and report creation.
Provide technical analysis regarding the enterprise applications for information sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
Support the creation and validation of business rules for the various business units utilizing the enterprise applications.
