Description

Under the general direction of the Director Housing & Public Works you will be responsible for the maintenance of the roads, shop, yard, and machines, of the Peepeekisis First Nation.

Preference will be given to qualified First Nations persons (Human Rights Exemption # E95-29)

QUALIFICATIONS:
-  Must possess a Equipment Operator certificate;
-  Valid Class 5 License;
-  A minimum of one year experience;
-  Willing to learn and take directions;
-  Must be able to communicate well with co-workers;
-  Ability to operate other equipment when required;
-  Good understanding of heavy machinery maintenance;
-  Drug & Alcohol free;
-  Medical certificate as pertaining to duties:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-  Responsible for equipment checks, and informing mechanics and supervisor of mechanical problems with the equipment;
-  Ability to inspect machinery daily and keep in good condition;
-  Must be able to work overtime as required;
-  Must be physically able to perform all physical action pertinent to the equipment they operate;
-  Must be able Perform either rough grade finishing with the ability to learn or fine grade finishing & spreading.
