Responsible for effective, accurate measurement of crude oil, including calibration and maintenance of assigned pipeline flow meters/flow computers within API standard of measurement.
Ensure operations and maintenance activites remain within the guidelines of company Health/Safety and Environmental standards.
Ensure measurement meters are calibrated to API standards regarding procedures, frequency, and deviation.
Ensure all instrumentation equipment is functional and properly maintained within a typical custody transfer Lact site.
Assist with measurement training requirements and solving measurement issues.
Ensure the preparation of necessary reports and records are maintained.
Verification of measurement equipment.
Investigate monthly anomalies in over/short reports.
Initiate/manage area operating and assigned capital budgets and monitor throughout the year.
Represent Measurement in commissioning new or expanded projects.
Troubleshoot Mass Meter anomalies and provide higher level technical expertise involving instrumentation.
Ideal candidate will have an instrumentation technology diploma or interprovincial ticket.
Minimum grade twelve education.
Familiarity with all areas and all aspects of oil gathering and field operations.
Five to seven years experience including gauging and/or maintenance within the oil industry.
Requires good interpersonal skills to be a self starter.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
