POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cameco is looking for a motivated, team oriented leader who values integrity, safety and the environment and strives to incorporate those values into their teams success. As part of the supply chain management team, you will apply best practices towards the formation and administration of contracts for Cameco operations and capital projects. This involves the development and implementation of comprehensive system of contracts administration, including contractor progress tracking and performance management. As an expert in construction contracts from the owners perspective, you will be responsible for the resolution of various contracting challenges at Cameco, relying on your in-depth knowledge of pricing structures, terms and conditions, as well as claims prevention and resolution methods.
In addition, you will continually assess, develop and implement improvements to the Cameco contracting process. You will provide leadership, coaching and direction to a contingent of project site-based and corporate contracts administrators.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in business, engineering or a related discipline
Fifteen years of overall experience in contracting, procurement or other related disciplines
Eight years of direct experience developing and administering construction and/or EPCM contracts on major capital projects
Experience in functional leadership positions
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Assets:
Proficient working knowledge of contract management software
CCCA, CPCM, CCCM, SCMP or other relevant designation
