Thyssen Mining is currently looking for an experienced person to participate in the development of the Safety management program and worker training, mining equipment & mining methodology, as well as ensuring such training is performed and validated in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for developing and directing training initiatives for TMCC mining employees
- Design, Develop and deliver training programs
- Assess the skill level, performance and competence of each learner
Skills & Experience:
- Grade 12 Diploma or Technical Diploma or certification
- Experience operating surface and underground mobile equipment
- 5 years experience in a mine environment with a solid track record of having trained workers in safe operation techniques and safety culture
- Experience assessing training needs, creating training materials to fulfill those needs and delivering the training
- Ability to create high quality presentations using a variety of technologies including Windows based computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, evaluate and improve others
This position works a 2 weeks in, 2 weeks out rotation at a remote mine site.
