Description

Guided by the Carrot River Watershed Agri-Environmental Group Plan (AEGP) Agricultural Committee, the AEGP Technician position is a permanent part-time career opportunity.  The AEGP Technician reports directly to the Carrot River Valley Watershed Association (CRVWA) and the AEGP Agricultural Committee.  The AEGP Technician will also work collaboratively with the Watershed Manager.
This position is ideal for an individual with a strong agriculture background, excellent computer and communication skills, motivation, and an interest in farm and watershed stewardship.  In this position, you may work from your home office within the Carrot River Watershed and out of the CRVWA office located at 202 Main Street in Melfort.  You must have your own transportation and valid drivers license for conducting on-farm consultations with producers.  You also must obtain a current Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.  Benefits will be provided in this position.  The AEGP Technician will be assisting producers in the area with applications to the Farm Stewardship Program and Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program, as well as working with the Watershed Manager to address key actions identified in the Source Water Protection Plan.
