Description

Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor/Senior Auditor Trainee. Reporting to the Audit Manager, you will ensure corporate objectives are achieved through the effective delivery of all aspects of Internal Auditing from planning to reporting, as guided by the Institute of Internal Auditors International Professional Practices Framework and the Audit Services Branchs (ASB) processes and procedures. The Senior Internal Auditor/Senior Auditor Trainee is responsible for planning and performing assigned financial, operational, and information system audits and fraud investigations within SLGA as outlined in the annual audit plan. In addition, the Senior Internal Auditor/Senior Auditor Trainee will also assist on other projects as required.

Depending on the audit assignment, the Senior Internal Auditor/ may be required to work independently or as part of a team, and may be required to work on multiple assignments at the same time. This may involve the supervision of audit staff, delegation/assignment of tasks to other individuals on the team and review of work performed.    

In the performance of your duties, you will be required to identify and assess risk and controls, research best practices and analyze audit issues; develop audit programs, perform required testing and analysis, document results, and communicate identified issues to ASB and SLGA management verbally and in writing through preparation of the initial draft report  

The Senior Internal Auditor/Senior Auditor Trainee will be well organized, possess strong time management and organizational skills, have excellent communication and analytical skills (written and verbal) and must be able to effectively interact with all levels of staff and management within SLGA, SIGA and/or SLGA partners (franchisees, commercial permitees,), clients (licensees) and third party suppliers (WCLC, BDL).
