Description

Eden Care Communities is looking a Director of Finance to join our team. The Director of Finance contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks for the organization.
Eden Care Communities is responsible in helping create human habitats that support quality of life for Elders, staff, volunteers, and the community.
Responsibilities for the Director will include but are not limited to,
-    Supporting, communicating, interpreting, and facilitating the implementation of the Eden Care Communities Mission and Vision though programs, policies, and procedures within a quality improvement framework.
-    Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.
-Work with the Leader of Corporate Services and the Leader of Finance to manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, inventory integrity, fixed asset records, and accrual accounting.
-Work with the Assistant Leader of Corporate services to manage the accuracy of day-to-day activities of payroll and benefits.
-Develop and issue timely monthly financial records for the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, Board of Directors and the Regional Health Authority.
-Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate organization ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing etc., when  necessary.
-Strategically planning department programs/services
Qualifications
- CA/CMA/CGA is required
- 5+ years related experience in Accounting in Health Care and/or Long Term Care /Assisted Living Facility, in the non-profit sector is preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
