Description

The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) is a national organization promoting and supporting the meaningful and equitable employment of people with disabilities. We are currently seeking an Employment Outreach Specialist in Saskatoon, SK Partners for Workplace Inclusion Program (PWIP) site. This position will be full time contractual to March 31st, 2015 with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will have a postsecondary degree or diploma in business, public relations or related discipline, and/or, post secondary degree in one of the social sciences or related fields (eg. psychology, social work, human services).  A combination or equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered. Experience in working with persons with disabilities, employers and community based organizations is required.

All applicants must have:

    Experience in working with persons with disabilities as job seekers.
    Counseling experience focused on educational, training and employment opportunities in working with persons with disabilities.
    Demonstrated experience in community outreach and program promotion.
    Ability to manage an active caseload, using professional casework techniques and assisting persons with disabilities in achieving maximum possible independence in job search and job retention.
    Experience in occupational and/or vocational rehabilitation would be considered a strong asset.
    Strong verbal, written and organizational skills.
    Ability to be flexible, work independently and as a member of a team.
