The Moose Jaw Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as their full-time Children and Youth/Emergency Childcare Services Coordinator.
The successful candidate will wear a huge smile on his/her face everyday; be outgoing, positive, creative, enthusiastic and committed to enriching the lives of Canadian Forces children and youth. You will be responsible to the Executive Director for all programs and services pertaining to the efficient day-to-day operation of the Early Learning Centre, parents and tots, youth and teen centres and summer fun programs. In addition, you will be responsible for the management of the emergency childcare service that may include a variety of care-delivery options.
Other areas of involvement include, but are not limited to, a genuine interest in promoting the healthy development of children and youth; an understanding of the military lifestyle; helping members and their families feel welcome; developing advertising materials; marketing programs; financial and budgeting duties; and developing, implementing and evaluating programs. Creating grant proposals and developing and maintaining strategic partnerships are essential to the position.
Applicants will possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Child and Youth Care, Education or a related field. A related diploma and a minimum of three years direct experience in program development and management may be considered. Effective human resource management is an essential component of this position. Fluency in both official languages is a definite asset. As well, candidates must be bondable.
