Moose Jaw Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is currently seeking an individual to fill the following position: Program/Information Services Assistant. The successful candidate will wear a huge smile on their face everyday; be outgoing, positive, creative, enthusiastic and committed to enriching the lives of Canadian Forces (CF) members and their families. This position will assist in the provision of the Military Family Services Program (MFSP) to CF families and in addition, support to families of NFTC/NATO force members. The position requires knowledge of the Reserve/Regular Force/NFTC lifestyle, public relations, marketing, communications and community development. Reporting to the Community and Volunteer Development Coord, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with personal development programs, as well as contributing to the overall marketing and communications strategy/information service systems of the centre. Other duties include the delivery of community welcome services and the dissemination of community information and resources to families. Areas of involvement include, making everyone feel welcome at the centre; helping members, staff and volunteers; contributing to the efficiency of the office; assisting with the development of advertising materials; marketing programs and timely record maintenance. Candidates will possess relevant post-secondary education in office administration and/or extensive training that is relevant to the skills required for the position; a minimum of 2 years experience in a related field; experience with Microsoft Office, in particular MS Publisher and other web based applications; excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills and an understanding of the military lifestyle. Effective resource management is an essential component of this position. Fluency in both official languages is an asset.
