Reporting to the Operations Department, this position will enable timely pick-up and delivery of solid waste, recycling & organics within Saskatoon and surrounding area. The individual will enable movement according to established policies, customer requirements and targeted timelines, while completing all applicable paperwork.
Duties:
-Provide professional customer support by addressing questions, problems, and specific requests for service; clarify customer location, service type & instructions
-Analyze, route & relay incoming calls and service locations to drivers
-Effectively communicate all pertinent information to the customers and drivers
-Maximize the volumes of work completed for all systems including seasonal & weather related adjustments
-Optimize use of fleet resources by directly communicating with other dispatch planners and operations staff
-Assign appropriate levels of work to minimize flagging, delayed customer service, route crossover, etc.
-Identify and evaluate special needs of Loraas customers
-Prepare accurate routing schedules, assign drivers and trucks, and schedule call ins
-Hours are Monday to Friday with the possibility of a Saturday shift shared among Dispatch team members
Qualifications:
-Excellent customer services skills conveyed with a positive attitude

-Strong knowledge of Saskatoon and surrounding area
-Proficient knowledge of routing software and Microsoft Office an asset
-Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and legislation
-Assertive verbal communication skills
-Team player with confidence to work independently
-Experience in live dispatch and transportation industry seen as an asset
-Required to be fluent in English, oral and written
-Possession of a valid Class 3A/1A licence or professional truck driver background seen as a strong asset
