Description

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that school buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.  
    3 to 5 years of experience in the maintenance field, preferably in an educational or commercial building environment
    Ability to meet the physical demands of the position as the majority of time is spent cleaning, doing repairs, standing, walking, lifting objects, operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, sweeping and mopping floors, and moving desks and furniture
    being a self-starter
    having a positive attitude and strong work ethic
    having good communication skills (oral and written English)
    the ability to work independently or as a team
    having good time management skills
    having an affinity with the goals of Luther College and a small college environment in which flexibility, warmth and cordiality are necessary and valued
    Possession of a Firemans Certificate would be considered an asset
