Description

This is an exciting position for someone looking to get a start in the non-profit sector. The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of new and existing Multiple Sclerosis Society fundraising events and activities in Saskatchewan, in conjunction with other Fund Development Staff, with the purpose of raising funds and awareness of the MS Society so that it can realize its commitment to persons living with MS.

The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for all activities relative to the growth, development and stewardship of the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Community MS Walk Program, third party fundraising, Regina and area Residential Campaigns, CKRM Musical Christmas Card, Founders Day and A&W Cruisin to end MS.  This portfolio includes the recruitment and supervision of rural Saskatchewan Blue Cross MS Walk coordinators and also acts as a resource for Division event operations and volunteer engagement.

Qualifications and Experience: College diploma or university degree with at least 2-3 years of experience in fundraising, special event planning and project management or the equivalent education and experience. Experience working with event volunteer committees, within a non-profit fundraising environment is an asset. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.  Some travel, evening and weekend work may be components of this position.

Special Considerations: Physical demands of special events including packing, lifting, carrying and loading.
