Description

DUTIES
-Preparation of Ec. Dev. Commission Board meetings, staff meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars - taking minutes, booking boardrooms, notifying meeting participants, and assisting with preparation of materials & kits, etc.
-Information and File Management through maintaining proper filing systems for all correspondence and files received.
-Data Entry - log incoming-outgoing mail/faxes; TAS (Training Administration System).
-Office Equipment/Supplies - ordering, purchasing and monitoring.
-Communicating with First Nation communities, MLTC Staff, and affiliated representatives of Economic Development.
-Vehicle Log and Maintenance Program - assisting with the MLTC Vehicle Fleet log and maintenance scheduling.
-Other ancillary duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Economic Development.

QUALIFICATIONS
-Certificate/Diploma from a recognized institute in office administration / office procedures.  
-Minimum of two (2) years current experience required in administration/secretarial duties.
-Appropriate combination of education and work experience will be considered.
-Excellent computer skills including ability to utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint), E-mail, and Internet.
-Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and communication skills.
-Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate documentation and records; ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines;
-Proven ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment with staff, other MLTC departments, and the nine (9) First Nation communities.
-An understanding and knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions, and history and the ability to speak Cree and/or Dene is considered a valuable asset.  
-Demonstrated ability to deal with situations with discretion and confidentiality.
