The community of Wilkie is seeking a full time Family Physician. The Wilkie and District Health Foundation is currently working on the development of a new Physician's Clinic to be shared between the existing Physician and a new Practitioner. Wilkie is a growing community in North Western Saskatchewan. Health services provided include general practice physicians who work in conjunction with other physician's in the Unity Primary Health Service area, allowing for weekend on call support and a team like atmosphere. The Wilkie Health Centre offers 24 hour emergency care, including EMS, RN and Physician coverage. The facility consists of 29 LTC beds and 5 program beds in a modern well maintained facility opened in 2000.
Physicians will provide patient care, on call emergency coverage and backup to the physicians in the other areas of the Region if needed.
Job Qualifications: A Saskatchewan Medical License, Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage,Canadian residency/immigration status, and eligibility for membership on the Heartland Health Region Practitioner Staff are required. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, in accordance with immigration requirements, Canadian and permanent residents will be given preference.
