PARTNERS Family Services is accepting applications for the position of Service Coordinator. PARTNERS staff provide a safe, confidential and welcoming environment that assists individuals and families to meet their immediate and on going needs. Duties include direct client support, safety planning, referrals, client advocacy, crisis intervention services and prevention programming/presentations.
Some travel required.
Requirements:
- BSW or BA in a human service related field or a combination of education and experience relevant to the position
- Knowledge and experience working with survivors or those at risk of interpersonal violence, sexual assault or those in crisis
- Proven ability to work effectively with victims of interpersonal violence and abuse
-Experience in developing, administering and evaluation programs, workshops and educational programming
-Experience collaborating and cooperative with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordination of services to clients
- Experience working with community groups, volunteers and agencies
- Strong team work capacity, highly organized, and capable of managing varied demands
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanour
- Excellent writing skills, time management and communication skills
- Computer competencies
- Understands, recognizes and self-practices stress management strategies
