Description

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

    Work with team members to ensure quality of products produced meets company standards and schedules for on time delivery of customer orders
    Define targets for the shop floor, monitor and improve processes
    Interfaces with the entire material supply chain to set priorities and confirm schedule constraints
    Enforce safety requirements as stipulated in company procedures and promote proper housekeeping.
    Work with staff towards a goal of continuous improvement
    Provide feedback to employees appropriately on performance
    Complete term and annual performance evaluations in conjunction with Human Resources & Management
    Recommend hires and dismissals as appropriate to Human Resources
    Perform routine administration and personnel management in conjunction with Sr. Manager of Corporate Resources
    Schedule daily, weekly and monthly activities within work cells as assigned
    Training and certification of production personnel
    Promote communications between Manufacturing Engineering/Engineering/Manufacturing/Supply Chain
    Coordinate the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering team.
    Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Management
    Represent and/or support Manufacturing as part of the OH&S Staff Committee
    All supervisors must protect their own and fellow workers health and safety by working in compliance with the local applicable Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as all regulations and safe work practices and procedures established by our company

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    Completion of post-secondary technical course and/or relevant experience
    Supervisory/managerial experience in a manufacturing/production environment
    A working knowledge of Lean principals
    Knowledge of Quality systems such as ISO, in a high tech environment
