Description

Assistant Grain Inspectors will stay on-site to assist inspectors in grading grain going into rail cars. You will be required to stand for most of the shipment. All work is done indoors. You will be trained to operate laboratory equipment on-site and in the office located in Fort QuAppelle. Under the supervision of an inspector, you will be responsible for entering grading data onto Microsoft Excel.

The Sampling position will require you to drive to small loading facilities throughout the province and monitor the sampling of trucks, containers and rail cars, record the data and bring samples back to the office in Fort Qu'Appelle. This aspect of the job is primarily outside.

Self-motivated individuals will flourish in this position as there is frequently the opportunity for overtime and full time hours, and the potential for career advancement into an inspectors position. All training will be done on-site.

Intertek employs the highest occupational health and safety standards. Employees must follow all safety procedures.

Individuals may have to work long hours on short notice and overnight travel may be required. Work load will fluctuate week to week based on grain movement and employees availability.

REQUIREMENTS:
-    Valid drivers license
-    Reliable personal vehicle (compensated for mileage)
-    Basic computer skills
-    Access to smartphone or personal computer
-    Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion
-    Self-motivated
