Description

Plains Midstream Canada is in the design phase of a new Rail Terminal Facility near Kerrobert, SK with commissioning scheduled for mid-year 2015.  Our Facility will operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  

We are currently looking to fill an Instrumentation Technician position at our facility in Kerrobert, SK.  The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily and maintenance activities at the Kerrobert facility.    

Responsibilities:
Installing, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation, including pressure, and temperature transmitters, gas detectors, control valves, meters, and analyzers;
Troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment;
Inspecting and testing the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic devices;
Performing mechanical work associated with instrument repair and modification, including removing and installing small piping and tubing;
Rebuilding control valves;
Providing technical input and scope development for operations, projects and turnarounds;
Performing scheduled preventive maintenance and completes test and maintenance reports;
Completing all written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed;
Consulting manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures;
Strong focus on safety and accepts responsibility for their safety performance;
Complying with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations as well as facility standards and procedures; and
Providing on-call support during non-business hours.
