Description

The company has a career opportunity for qualified applicants at PotashCorp  Rocanville, located in Southeast Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer, the Mine Engineer is responsible for a range of mine engineering services including mine ventilation, rock mechanics and geotechnical and geophysical work.  Additional duties include mine production planning, mine equipment selection, utilization and productivity studies and other section functions.

This temporary role is a full-time position anticipated between January 2015 and December 2016.

The successful candidate will be a highly-motivated individual with an undergraduate degree, or equivalent, in mining engineering from an accredited university.  The incumbent must be eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).  Mine engineering experience is required, along with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check.  All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
