The Leader-Post has evolved into a multi-platform media powerhouse, providing content to readers where they want it, how they want it. Across print, web, smartphone and tablet, our audience is bigger than it has ever been before.

Currently, we are seeking a Content Coordinator. If you have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with a media background - this could be the opportunity for you!  

Primary Responsibilities:
- Project management and editing of specialized content for products published on platforms that include web, tablets, mobile, e-books, newspaper and magazines
- Editing, curation and creation of content for a wide range of media platforms; utilization of social media in relation to this content is key
- Design and layout of print projects
- Assigning of stories, blogs, photos, video and more to freelance writers and photographers
- Designing sales pieces and promo ads for projects that are published across all platforms
- Working with a team to develop new revenue-generating ideas and digital products; working with sales teams to create advertorial products

- Demonstrated high level of editing and writing skills, along with graphic design proficiency
- Outstanding organizational skills and proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Ability to think creatively and to generate innovative ideas
- Proven attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Enthusiastic team player who is approachable, willing and able to work with others as well as independently

Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience working with web content, digital assets and social media
- Advanced level of proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator, in a Macintosh/PC environment
- Ability to professionally design and layout newspaper sections and magazines under tight deadlines
- Experience working in an advertising environment is an asset
