Job Summary:
Reporting to the Vice-President of People, Strategy and Performance, the Director of Quality and Safety is responsible for the Region's Quality and Safety Programs, as well as the Regional Kaizen Promotion Office, and leads a team of 21 people. The scope of this position is necessarily broad (organization-wide) and interfaces with all levels of the organization including leadership staff and clinicians. The position also has numberous external relationship requirements.
Qualifications:
- The successful applicant requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in Nursing, as well as a minimum of 7 years' experience in a leadership position. An applicable Master's degree is preferred. Previous experience with direct reports, budget responsibility and project management is required.
- This position requires certification as a Kaizen leader and must fulfill ongoing maintenance requirements. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as extremely high level of organizational skill with attention to detai.
- Must possess ability to work with applicable software programs, e.g. spreadsheets, etc., normal office equipment, video and imaging equipment used in support of Kaizen activities.
