Join our Progressive, Growing, Innovative Company as a:

CAD / CAM Specialist II or III(Three Openings)

We currently have three openings for intermediate or advanced CAD / CAM Specialists.  Our CAD / CAM specialists utilizes various CAD / CAM programs to create new drawings, revise existing drawings and create programs to be utilized for the manufacturing of parts.  

Your Objective:

o Prepare layouts, detailed drawings (complete with GD&T tolerances), assembly drawings, sketches, & diagrams as required for manufacturing
o Utilize CAD / CAM software effectively to program various NC machinery; punch, laser, mill, lathe and robots.
o Investigate NCRs and PPN; modify and revise designs as required to improve manufacturing of parts
o Work with internal departments to design jigs and fixtures as required and makes sure all hardware needed is ordered and parts are completed in a timely fashion.

Success Requires:  

o Intermediate specialists require a minimum of three years current CAD / CAM experience
o Advanced specialists require five or more years of current CAD / CAM experience
o Completion of a CAD / CAM, Mechanical or related Engineering Technologist Diploma
o CNC Machine Operator experience a significant asset
o Knowledge of machine shop practices and processes;
o Knowledge of how machine tools operate, cutting tool theory and practice, as well as working properties of various metals used in the manufacturing process
o Above average ability to read and work with GD&T, blueprints, drawings and production work orders
o Excellent organizational and problem solving skills; ability to prioritize and anticipate potential urgencies or setbacks
o Must have strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
o Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, the ability to work well with others and minimal supervision.
