Quality Assurance Inspector

Our Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for conducting physical quality control inspections on welded, machined and fabricated parts.  The Quality Assurance inspector analyzes / inspects machines, machine processes/set ups material requirements, and randomly conducts sample product inspections throughout the design phase up to and including shipping of finished product.  Quality Assurance is involved in the design, evaluation, documentation and training of product specifications and operating procedures.

Your Objective:

o Cross-reference and verify part measurements; part number markings, tooling numbers, and check machines and tooling for current calibration
o Review, verify and monitor in-process test procedures and results
o Conduct periodic product and process inspections, verify compliance adherence, prepare quality reports and corrective action recommendations
o Inspect completed parts as well as conduct random, sample inspections, notify supervisor(s) and employee(s) of inspection discrepancies
o Perform calibration and inspection on all production test equipment

Success Requires:

o Two to three years progressive experience.
o A grade twelve diploma or equivalent is a requirement
o Computer literacy and excellent math skills is required
o Knowledge of ISO or equivalent quality standards is an asset.
o Ability to use measurement tools; read and work with production work orders, blueprints, and drawings
o Good working knowledge of material types and data sheets is required
o Excellent organizational and problem solving skills; ability to prioritize and anticipate potential urgencies or setbacks
o Must have strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
o Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative, the ability to work well with others and minimal supervision.
