DESCRIPTION: Meridian Manufacturing Inc. is looking for 20 full time permanent production welders for the Winkler, Manitoba area to start ASAP.
FULL TIME PERMANENT WELDERS
PRODUCTION/MANUFACTURING
PRODUCTION WELDERS - NOC CODE: 7265
Main Duties
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW)
Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
Operate Over Head Cranes in compliance with Meridian Mfg Group Safety Policies.
Welds need to meet or exceed standards prescribed on data sheets provided by our welding engineer (OMINI) and Canadian Welding Bureau.
Conduct Quality Inspections of their work.
Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns
Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits.
Provide data to assist in monitoring and tracking project status.
Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques.
Other assigned work as required.
Employment Requirements
Must speak English.
Experience with routine maintenance operations.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
Physical ability to lift up to 45lbs.
Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, welding helmet, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.60 -$18.00
