Qualification: B.Sc. or B.S.A or its equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or related Field
Responsibilities:
Oversee the food safety/quality program. Duties include:
- Develop and Monitor Food Safety policies and procedures
- Organize and Maintain FSSC 22000 Program
- Organize and lead Food Safety Team Meetings
- Ensure corrective actions are addressed in a timely manner
- Train all personnel and contractors on GMPs and key Food Safety Items
- Stay abreast of and report to plant Management on Government Regulations (Canada, USA and EU)
- Verify records that support the food safety program
- Work with Management to ensure the facility is in compliance with FSSC at all times
- Finished product testing

- knowledge of HACCP/GFSI or other food safety programs is an asset
