Description

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Training & Employment Department is now inviting applications for a full-time temporary position as an Information System Technician.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for computer, network, and user support. This position is based out the LLRIB Education Department Office.  This position may become permanent pending on funding sources.

The suitable candidate will perform the following:
- Research, plan, install, configure, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software;
- Providing technical training and/or orientation to staff, when required;
- Research and recommend hardware and software for purchase;
- Maintaining of school information tracking system;
- Development and maintenance of IT inventory;
- Performing/installing cabling and infrastructure where necessary.

The suitable candidate will possess the following:
- Related degree and/or previous experience in the IT industry;
- Experience in maintaining Microsoft Windows network environment;
- Valid Driver's License;
- Ability to travel to outlying communities of Hall Lake and Sucker River;
- Experience in cabling and infrastructure;
- Extensive experience with PC and Apple Hardware and Software.
