Wendland Ag Services is seeking a self-motivated,
team-oriented individual to fill the position of
Yard and Maintenance Technician in our Cut Knife location.
Reporting to the Location Manager, this position
will be responsible for performing general
equipment, building, and property and yard
maintenance. The Yard and maintenance Technician will
assist in the maintenance of trailers, vehicles,
farm equipment, etc. in accordance with Wendland
Ags safety processes. This position shall also be
responsible for keeping the yard, chemical and
fertilizer sheds, and other work areas in a clean
and orderly condition.
The Yard Maintenance worker will assist with
loading and unloading trucks, assisting customers
when they are picking up products, and blend
fertilizer when required.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma.
-Minimum 1 year experience in operations and
maintenance in the agricultural industry.
-Ability to perform small repairs around the yard,
shop and on vehicles and equipment.
-Ability to work both independently and as part of
a team.
-Valid Class 5 Drivers license is required and a
Class 3 or Class 1 with an air (A) endorsement
would be a definite asset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Work closely with the Location Manager and staff
to ensure the Location equipment, yard and
building facilities is maintained in a clean and
safe manner.
-Perform general cleanup of yard, sheds and shop
facilities.
-Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and
debris, cut grass, spray and remove weeds, sweep
and clean gutters, water and maintain sprinkling
systems).
-Receive (unload), load and blend fertilizer at
your specific Location.
-Operate a forklift, skid steer and other
equipment around the Location and facilities.
-Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
