Horizon School Division #205 is seeking an experienced candidate to provide administrative leadership and assistance within the First Nations Metis Education, Safe and Caring Schools and Curriculum team located in Humboldt.
This temporary, out-of-scope, position commences on or about December 24, 2014, and will conclude on July 17, 2015. This position is 7.5 hours per day and is located in our Humboldt Central Office.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Post-secondary education in business administration from a recognized educational institution or 3-5 years of direct work experience in an administrative capacity will be considered.
Ability to design, develop and interpret data presented through graphs, software and spreadsheets.
Ability to manage budgets, conduct research for proposed expenditures and validate expense claims.
Ability to work as a team player and work with all levels of internal management and staff as well as parents, community, outside clients and vendors.
Provide support for the research, development and completion of reports that contain confidential information that may be requested for multiple audiences.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems and experience with software applications.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to meet agreed upon and imposed deadlines
Self-directed and service oriented
