Description

This role delivers specialized knowledge in the area of interest rate risk management through participation in and/or facilitation of Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO) meetings with the goal of assisting clients in developing strategies to enhance performance and support related board reporting.  You will analyze interest rate risk simulation results, prepare interest rate risk forecasts, develop on and off-balance sheet strategy recommendations, and provide advice to manage interest rate risk (ie. Derivative Strategies).

The Senior Finance Manager strives to enhance client profitability and efficiency by providing specialized financial management services such as liquidity management, budget development, capital planning, modeling strategies, and pricing alternatives.  You will develop innovative tools to assist clients in their balance sheet management and regularly advise senior credit union management on asset-liability balance sheet management strategies including making recommendations on derivatives, loans, deposits, and liquidity investments.

A key focus is to enhance department profitability and profile by building and fostering strong long-term client relationships while supporting the value proposition of the department and Concentra as a whole.  As an interest rate risk expert, you will advise clients on financial management concepts and balance sheet management strategies through presentations, workshops, conferences, and one on one presentations.

Completion of an undergraduate degree in Commerce/Business Administration complemented with or working towards an MBA, CA, CMA or CFA designation; or a combination of education and experience; complemented with 3-5 years of progressive experience with balance sheet management in the financial services industry.  Advanced knowledge of financial modelling including principles, products and balance sheet profitability is key to success in this role.
