General Accountability
As the educational leader in the classroom, instructors will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula with the purpose of promoting student success. They are to plan, organize and implement an instructional program which creates a learning environment that guides and ensures each student is successful. Instructors keep current with developments in their subject area, instructional resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities to suit the individual needs of their students. Working collaboratively with a team of educational professionals, instructors will demonstrate a strong commitment to create and maintain a creative and positive learning environment at SIIT.

Required QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
A related degree or certificate from an accredited institution. For success in this position a genuine commitment to help students learn and succeed is required. A demonstrated knowledge of First Nations Culture and current issues is also required.
Journeyman Red Seal Welder certification in the welding trade
Post-secondary certification in education, administration or the applied technologies
Related trade and industrial work experience
Good understanding of the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship system.
Task oriented and well organized with the ability to work independently in a team environment.
Effective skills in using computers (MS Office, internet)
