Description

Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to coordinator SLGAs merchandising programs and foster partnerships with the beverage alcohol industry to drive profitability and grow liquor sales. Duties include coordinating, executing, reviewing, evaluating and reporting merchandising programs, special events, liquor trade shows and promotions. Additional duties include managing a working database of supplier contact information, as well as researching, interpreting and analyzing trends in order to provide recommendations about industry-driven, current or new merchandising programs.  

Required Technical/Qualifications:
- The incumbent will typically possess a Marketing degree or diploma, or related field, from a recognized Post-Secondary Educational Institution and at least 2 years of experience in marketing, merchandising or business development
- Knowledge of Marketing concepts and principles such as consumer behavior, creating pleasant shopping environments, importance of always having something different to offer our customers, utilizing different means of promotion for our own growth, market assessment and identifying critical issues.
- Knowledge of return on investment/cost-benefit analysis including being able to analyze a concept or proposal to determine if it will drive key performance indicators (ie. Sales, average price in category, etc).
- Knowledge of project management principles to implement new programs while ensuring that all aspects have been covered, questions have been answered and implementation can occur in an organized manner.
- Experience computer programs such as Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Adobe Photoshop
